The Tate-Do course offers students an in depth experience of Tate-Da, also known as Chambara (Samurai sword fighting for film), and a unique experience of Japanese Culture and History, as they are taught the art of Tate-Do, in the heart of Osaka.

The course covers not only Tate-Do fighting (one-on-one to defending from multiple people), but also the basics of acting in a fight scene, as well as Japanese customs in relation to martial arts training and the Samurai way of life. Instruction is given in both Japanese and English, from qualified, professional Tate-Do masters.

This course is for everyone, male or female of any age, Japanese or Foreigners. Its a great place to meet new friends, and a more exiting alternative to language exchange in coffee shops. With the schools location on the edge of America-mura, students can easy socialize together after lessons. Whether your interested in Martial arts, looking for an interesting way to keep fit, a budding actor, like Samurai films, want to make new friends or you just want something else to do on a Friday night then this course is for you.

Students can apply for the course at any time and join a class which best suits their own schedule.

Lessons are held at Toho Entertainment School, approx. 1 minute walk from Yotsubashi subway station (Yotsubashi Line) exit 3, on the 3rd floor of the Imai Building (イマイビル).

Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water.
