Biography
Ryan is one of the founder members of "Two Snooker Balls and a Sock" film company established at The University of Winchester with his then housemate, Stephen Gray. After graduating from University Ryan toured England and Scotland with M & M productions. During 2007 he started his teacher training and is now Head of Drama at a Catholic College in his home town of Swindon, Wiltshire. After appearing in a number of short films, Ryan turned back to theatre and has worked extensively with a number of theatre companies including Whole Hog Theatre Company, North Wiltshire Theatre Company and the Old Town Theatre Company. Furthermore, in the last two years, Ryan has won a number of Best Actor awards in Amateur Dramatic One-Act Play festivals including the prestigious Isle of Man Drama Festival. Film credits include Surface and Roundway. Recent Theatre credits include Rex in Swimming with Sharks, John in The Last Supper, Rosencrantz & Osric in Hamlet and Mugsy in Dealer's Choice. Future Theatre credits include taking on the role of "Frank" in Matthew Clift's Recidivists at the 2011 Harold Jolliffe One-Act Play Festival as well as Directing Harold Pinter's critically acclaimed The Birthday Party at the Arts Centre, Swindon in September 2011.
